Value of this old beast?
I bought a 608 from the states a few years ago.
It arrived damaged and I had no recourse with the seller.
I’ve made the decision to part with it but not sure what to ask for it given the damage.
There is a very small crack (see pictures) and this has caused the soul to lose tension and it has warped snout to get a .8mm feeler gauge under the soul.
All other aspects are okay, but it is missing the screw/nut for the rear tote.
What is it worth for a non-user for collection purposes??
Appreciated
Colin

In my opinion due to crack it has no value other than for the few spare parts maybe $30 -$40

You have a Bedrock 608C, type 7 in the Bedrock series made between 1923 and 1926.
That’s a bugger about the crack; you were looking at an easy $300 minimum there, potentially heading over $400. Now you’ll struggle to get half that; only a collector who’ll cosmetically restore it for putting on a shelf is likely to want it unfortunately.
I’ve fallen victim to a couple of unscrupulous sellers who deliberately hid or disguised really obvious defects to get a higher price; sometimes you just have to take the hit and move on. Hopefully one day karma will kick in for him; preferably involving an amorous hippo on amphetamines...Nothing succeeds like a budgie without a beak.
