    Default First major project, hand tools only

    I have finally finished my first major woodworking project using hand tools. This is a prototype for a set of stools I'd like to make out of tassie oak. The pine came from Bunnings from the reject bin. cost 12 dollars.

    Thanks, shellac for a sanding sealer then cabots oak oil stain mixed with a bit of black japan for depth. I then finished it with tung oil. I was trying to match our teak dining room table. I used that combination because that's what I had on hand.
