Marples Blue chip
Iv'e been buying old Marples blue chip chisels when I can find them and recently came across one which I think is a Record Marples blue chip. They look exactly the same except for the logo on the handle, does anyone know if the steel is the same as the older blue chip's? I remember seeing an ad in an old Fine Woodworking magazine where Record claimed they were made exactly the same as the older blue chip chisels.
Here's a photo, the top one is the older Marples one and the bottom one is the Record one:

I think the old ones are better steel. They seem to keep a better edge. I wont be buying anymore of the new ones.
