Micro Planes
I am looking for a supplier other than Carba-Tech who sell Micro Planes
I have done searches and mostly come up with supplies to Chefs at double+ Carba's price.

Try Shapers. They sell stuff for surfboards and Microplanes are good for shaping the foam cores
Cheers

If price is a concern, you could make some, it should be relatively easy. Using a laminated construction with a 4 mm rod for the cross bar. And you can used recycle old plane blades, cut in half.

On the subject of microplanes,
Check out Peter (Lightwood's) microplanes....

Actually I have a few of the other razor microplanes, The flat one kinked and broke, but
the round and square are holding up pretty well. I seem to remember buying them on-line from here.

If I could afford it I would prefer Auriou rasps, but I only have one of those, and they are still hard to source,
although the factory is evidently starting up again. If you can get the right ones, they are better than the razor microplanes. IMHO.

Lee Valley stock most of the available range - they even hold a patent for a food accessory to fit the original Microplane which they still supply.

As Microplanes are quite light to postage should not be too high.

I got a set of 3 chinese ones on ebay for about $35 delivered.
Luthier suppliers sell them and pilgrims projects on ebay has been the cheapest I've seen the ibex ones.
Don't know about local suppliers as I've just about given up on buying local.I'm just a startled bunny in the headlights of life. L.J. Young.

Carba-Tec is an evil den of temptation
Made our 1st visit today kept saying this is just a window shopping exercise
After strolling around a bit things kept jumping off the shelves
