The router bits came in a big box with some spade bits, some forstners, lots of countersink bits, and some other stuff. $300. I figure at $50 per router bit alone it was worth over a grand.
The #5 and the low angle stanley were $100 the pair.

Hi Wongdai,
You may be able to get a new blade for the "cheesegrater"
They're called a 'Surform' - Looking at the way the blades were being sold off a couple of years ago, Stanley may have stopped making them.
Cheers,
eddie

Hi, I know these are not hand tools but they did have rust on one of them.
Scored the Fein for $50.00 but did not realise what a bargain it was until I saw them in the shops. Used it to resurface and remove rust and grim of the Old Woodfast Multi-tool which I picked up for $150.00. Pleased with both.
Cheers

Oi Toolbags, If this was a competition, I think you'd be the winner so far. That's a great score
Love feins. It's one of those tools you wont need every day, but when you do, you really do....

At least you had the decency to have a few old Stanleys hanging in the background... I think we'll let you off with a slap on the wrist just this once
Stunning old Woodfast.. I'd have dragged that one home on foot for $150
Nice ones Steve.

Being both from the west I can see Wongdai and Desinister standing toe to toe at the tool stall.

Last sunday
Judging by Wongdai's haul, I think its more likely I'll see the backs of of his heels as he walks off with all the bargains nice score wongdai!
So this sunday no tools but I did pick up this old Brades trade export price list from 1941. Its cover is embossed, and the paper is glossy with a three colour title page and two colour print throughout. Not bad for the middle of the war! It aslo lists all the pattern numbers with descriptions and measurements.
All for $2.

Thanks,
Its interesting to read the list of suppliers, each have their own "username" for the cable(Telegraph) service. Melbourne's distributor was "E H Collis", 413 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne C 1. His "cable name" was "Coliseum". The distributor in South Africa was named T Pickburn, His cable name was "Pickeye". Their lots of interesting stuff in it. Good fun.

Sargent Autoset
I have been looking for one of these for a very long time.
Finally found one.
It is a Sargent Autoset 718C.
These were made between 1916 and 1943.
It isn't an early model as the knobs have diamond knurling.
The front knob is wrong but acceptable.
All in all it is in very good condition.
It wasn't a bargain but I paid what I consider a fair price for it. Sorry not telling how much.
This group of planes is a great group to collect because there are only a small number of them 707 - 722.
A bit like Turners in that respect.
Anyway I thought that I would just share my joy with you all.
Cheers from Tele Point
