Another Mystery tool
A friend of mine is wondering what this could be for. About 110mm long, concave outer faces.
All clean, sensible suggestions considered.
Cheers,
Geoff.

It looks like some sort of tapered reamer, but why two 'sprung' blades?
Not the foggiest idea, Geoff....

Did a search for like images and found this.
Said it was a vintage "pipe reamer" I assume a "smoking pipe"
The link was to eBay but the link is no longer active.

Good one Bob, I did a like images search originally, but all I could find were scissors. The one you've found looks easier to squeeze in than my example. I'll pass that on. One of my friends thought it might be something to do with glass blowers shaping tool.
Cheers,
Geoff.
