Default name for collection of chisels?

Elsewhere I was wondering what the name for a set of chisels is (or for that matter any tools)

collection of chisels, set of chisels, a sharp of chisels

I googled 'group of chisels' and got Cold Chisel and Jimmy Barnes

In my search I also found this hint regarding use of chisels from Robert Sorby:

    Useful tips :

    • It goes without saying that you should not use your Robert Sorby chisels to open tins of paint. Only those with double hooped handles – those with a ferrule on the striking end – should be subject to heavy blows. The ferrule on the striking end is designed to reduce mushrooming and splitting.
    • Always store your chisels in a dry environment to avoid rust.
    • It always helps to wipe them with an oily cloth.
    • Do not store in a tool box where the edges might be damaged by other tools. Instead, hang them on rack separately or wrap them in a suitable tool roll.
    • It pays to sharpen your chisels on a regular basis – preferably on a flat and clean oil or water-stone.
    • When working in soft woods, the bevel angle of your chisel should be more acute than when working in hard woods.

does that mean I need two sets of firmers ground at different angles? one for hard woods and one set for soft?

I see I'm using the word 'set' for group, hmm
    regards

Probably incurable but not life threatening, you post reads like you have T.A.S. (Tool Aquisition Syndrome.)

Top-grade wood carving gouges are usually 20 degree bevels. Wood carving knives are about 12 degrees.
Softwoods, hardwoods, few carvers make the distinction and change bevels. Harder woods just get thinner cuts.

Supposing that you had chisels (how that for a group word?) ground at 30 for your beautiful selection of hardwoods.
The conifers have a much greater tendency to split when pushed open at 30 degrees = that's quite a wedge.
A lower/smaller angle, say 20 degrees, won't save you however the risks of splitting are somewhat reduced.

I've been carving mostly western red cedar (Thuja plicata) for maybe 15? years or so.
It's the worst of all the softwoods for splitting. Stop cuts and caution seems to be my winning formula.

Thesaurus.com gives 58 synonyms for "group". Here are my top ten from that list (as they apply to chisels):

    accumulation
    bevy
    cluster
    clutch
    covey
    gathering
    passel
    platoon
    suite
    troop

"Suite" of course applies only to chisels kept in hermetically sealed glass fronted cases.

Just a thought but maybe we call a group of tools a kit, chest, box, belt, drawer, locker rack, room etc. Should catch on!

For a group of chisels I would suggest set (yes, traditional but oh-hum!) but how about a "Titan" of chisel!!! Good hey. Should catch on. I like it. I do. Lovely. I'm going to use it from now on. I'm going to get my little friends to use it when they get out of isolation. I'll use it when I get out of isolation. I'll get nasty, needle nurse and the retraint brothers to use it too. It'll be good. Great!. I hope they let me near edged stuff soon. I miss my Titans, they miss me too. They are lovely and sharp. They are my friends. They tell me stuff.

From a wood carver's perspective, I'll go with a "bevel" of gouges
and a "sweep" of crooked knives (18 and counting.)

The word "collection" might be some things found in floor sweepings,
as rarely as that occurs in my shop.
