Gday OG, I haven’t done anything to mine, the handles were tight and haven’t come loose through any of the seasons, perhaps because of how hard and dense the timber is.
Spoke to Trent yesterday too and he said he’s trying to finish off a few more sets at the moment but is only working weekends as he has another job. Plan is to gradually reduce the days in his other job as he builds more capital etc. some other things in the works too which sound nice.

Cant help but comment even though I don't use many fine hand-tools like these chisels.
They are indeed beautiful in function and in appearance and in large part due to the wood he chose for these. It is one of a few desert / dryland species that make tough & beautiful tool handles AND finish like glass (ie amost without wood grain or pores). As a one-time supplier of diverse knife & tool materials it still amazes me to see HOW the FIT, FINISH & FUNCTION (through careful design and selection) can work so beautifully together, on the eye and no doubt on wood.
Well done Trent!! Enjoy these heirlooms JS.

Cava, he didn’t tell me over the phone beyond that it was new tools, it’s lobger term though. when I see him in the next month or so we are going to chat about it. I’ll keep you posted. I’ve asked him in the past to make me a birdcage owl which he was open to at that stage, so who knows!
I’ll also post some pics of my handles, there are a few with figure like I’ve never seen.
Euge, I agree with your comments. The timber is super hard with very fine and tight pores and it feels amazing in the hand. A bit of shellawax is all he uses and it takes beautifully.

Trent needs to raise his prices by around $50.00 per chisel.

I think finding the right price point where you can make a good living and still keep enough customers to be busy is quite tricky.
