Oh, they were right. Blast my cynicism!
This is a post dedicated to those tools that one thinks are ridiculously expensive and unnecessary but when one actually gets to use them one realises that they really are worth every penny.
Case in point: Preppin Weapon. (Twee name aside!)

I bulked out an order from Tools For Working Wood with one of these to make shipping worthwhile. It has seemingly been false economy; cause now I want a couple more!
It really is nice, and cheaper in the long run than my previous sanding methods of using offcuts and yellow container 3M double-sided tape. I hate sanding as much as they next guy, if not more, so anything that makes it easier gets my thumbs up.

How often have you stood around with mates and casually asked them "How many of you like your sanding block?" Never? Me too! But I hate sanding so I think I should get one.
Anyone these days who sees a problem, takes the time to think about it, go and spend months designing the perfect solution (Float!) deserves to be on the Honours list. If only there were more people who cared that much about anything!
Just found this: Winner of the 2005 American Woodworker Ergonomic Design of the Year award
There should be more awards for Woodworker Ergonomics.Cheers, Richard
