If a silly public servant gets and interest in them they could well go for double what they are worth ..... some of them have more money than sense!
For me I reckon 265 might pull them up but lemme tell you I ain't no expert.

At the price they are sitting at the moment with six days to go they could even out do the $450, but I would have thought $300 should pull them up if the mugs keep out of the bidding.

G'day,
Call me whatever but I would think $450 too high. They're great quality no arguement there, but being on eBay you'll get someone bidding up to whatever price just because they want them.
If I saw them at a garage sale then I'd offer $200 tops but I'd start at $50. Always looking out for a bargain but never willing to pay exorbitant prices, lol. (shrug)

I reckon $576 should pull them up depending if a bidding war on them starts
I bid on an old shaving strop last week (christmas present for fil) believing it would not go past $50 and ended up going for $78 stupid me went to $77 as i like my fil
swmbo went ballistic when i told her
cheers

They tend to be nice blades them. Nice feel to them. Pick em up from markets all the time.
From what I've heard the steel was good between 1930 and 1950....some time after that some other company took over and the quality deteriated....Don't know how to work out if a chisel falls in between that 1930 to 50 range though..... only thing to go, I spose, is, the older looking the better. ?? anybody else know....think the shark pictures on all of them...maybe the 60's chisels beveled slightly different or whatever.

Neil..... we can save them. There is still time. Fortunatly steel has a very bad memory.
I recon even the crappiest berg will be better than a modern stanley.
