Thread: Paring Chisel Batch Order

Some time ago I expressed my decision to move from option 4 (250mm, no handles) to option 3 (150mm, no handles). Helmut, could you please update the order.
Also will it be possible to order extra brass sockets. I have a pile of firmer chisels which are in need of new handles, and it would be nice to have them match.
That is if these sockets are suitable for chisels which will get whacked reasonably hard from time to time.

The file was updated a while back, see the number 3 next to your name.
It is possible, and while you could modify them to fit bigger chisels. The x-wall thickness is 4 mm thick. so the ferrule could take a whack.
Lignin, I have added you to the order for a number six. The yellow box option is not very popular at this point.
At this point the top handles choices are. R.Gidgee, Wengy, Myrtle, Blackwood, Padauk. However 9 members "must" still specify an option.

I'm not that fussed by the wood for the handles, pretty, fine figure, nice golden surface tones, I could go on but wont. Gidgee against my name thanks, but anything reasonably hard with a bit of variation sounds nice which would include blackwood amongst others.

TS,
Please put me down for a set, option 6.
I would really like Tiger Myrtle handles like the one at the bottom of this page on the Harold and Saxon site.
If that is not possible would it be ok to get a set of chisels to option 6 but without handles, ie all bevels ground and ferrules included?"There is no dark side of the moon really. Matter of fact it's all dark."
