Default Where to get a pin vise that fits into a chuck?

Normally I can search out what I need, but all the pin vises that I can find have knobs on the end or are otherwise unsuitable for inserting into a drill press chuck. I need to be able to put 1mm to 3mm drills in it for use in chuck that only goes down to 3mm.

Try a hobby shop. I bought one many years ago from a model railway shop. I have never used it in a chuck but it would work that way.

A few months ago I bought this Pin vice on fleabay for a whole $6.88
If you wanted to fit in into a standard chuck you could cut off the knob on the end of the handle.
If you wanted to correct and minimise tanyhe runout, I would get a broken ~3.5mm drill bit and cut the flutes off and insert and firmly tighten one end into the chuck, and put the other end into a MW chuck ( a collet chuck would be even better) and carefully skim off the knurling. While doing this I'd be supporting the outboard end with a live centre. If possible its probably worth doing this to any budget pin vice

It's sold as holding 3 - 0.3mm drill bits but here it its holding a 0.2 mm acupuncture needle very nicely.

The pin vice itself is quite nice and sturdy, but came with a set of useless drill bits.
    I describe the set here

A chuck in a chuck, is not the best solution. You will get minimal run out if you just use one chuck.

I’ve used Eclipse pin chucks/pin vises for many years; mainly for drilling with <1mm bits by hand but also putting the vise in a drill chuck.

HERE is a set of four different sizes on Amazon

Mine is like that. Used it when building model railway wagons.

Have used the Eclipse brand ones for about 40 yrs without issues, both in hand held and drill chuck mounted situations. Justtools have a range of them, this is one that covers the size range you are interested in. Dearer than the Jaycar one identified above, but an engineering shop quality item for a moderate cost increase. They also have the set of four Chief Tiff showed for a similar price.
I used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.

Thank you all. Maybe I should have searched for pin chuck, not pin vise.

Ah, Grasshopper, you must use the right search terms.

Try "mini chuck adapter" or "drill mini chuck"

Not sure what the weight of that Drill Mini Chuck is but it could be heavy.
