The rest have 6mm and/or 9mm chisels are going to hold me up a couple of days till I get a wheel dresser sorted out. I expect to ship the rest before 1st FEB.
This would Include the following peoples orders

    Gun52
    horoldic
    Old Gunnie
    Zvon
    TruckieMuzz

If you want the turning chisels without the primary bevels ground then they can be shipped as well.

These would include the following peoples orders

The Scraping inserts are in short supply. More were sold than where waterjet cut. So I will have to set aside some time to machine, heat treat and grind the balance before I do the paring chisels.

And FYI the long paring chisels will be the first of the bat since they have waited the longest.

I am reposting this PM here:

    Hi Josh

Do not post any firmer chisels to anyone. Even if they do not need a handle they all need ferrules. We need to post them in one go otherwise we will pay for postage twice. It also ensures that we can be sure they get everything in the kit, rather then in a piece meal fashion.
The brass for the ferrules have been ordered and is on its way to Burraboy. Once Burraboy cuts up the ferrules, he will post them to , who will then turn and fit the ferrules to the wooden handles.

    Hi Burraboy

I have ordered 2.5 meters of 22 mm brass tube with the x-wall of 1.6 mm. It should come to you in three equal lengths of 833 mm.

This should give you enough material to cut about 47 ferrules per 833 mm length, including your 20 mm for the chuck.

    47 ferrules x 3 lengths equals 141 ferrules.

The brass is coming from Sydney, so it should get to you sometime middle of next week.

    I hope that this satisfactory.

    Helmut,
Are the turning chisels still ok to ship for those that don't need the bevel ground. If so then I can get them packed.

    Hi Josh,

Can you clarify that please. Waited longest in comparison to what?

The option for either long (225mm) or short (150mm) paring chisels were both thrown open for orders on the same day.

Josh is talking about the long 12 mm wide paring chisels that were destroyed by the heat treater in the first batch order. They have been waiting 2 years before this batch order ever started. That is 4 years almost.

I prefer to shape my own, so ship 'em out.

They are done, and are ready to post. Unless you have ordered other stuff (i.e. firmer or paring chisels) then they will be posted together.

Just a note to say that burraboy has received the 22 mm brass tube with the 1.6 mm x-wall. burraboy will cut up the brass into the ferrules. He will then post them to early next week. This means that can start turning the handles sometime in the next 10 days.

All sockets are identical. Therefore RayG will post a single socket, this week.
