That is good and the extra rod was an excellent work around.
    Very well done

    MA,
That looks the business, you got to be happy with that, you have everything saw related in the one place.
    Mission accomplished you can say,
Of course I’m presuming now that you have come to terms with your “Habit” will there possibly be a Mark 2 ??.

    Cheers Matt.

    Looking good!

Now that you've had a practice shot with saw storage you can now concentrate on building something suitable for planes; the superior end of the hand tool spectrum.

Thirteen handsaws! You'll have to add one more; can't leave it at an unlucky number....

Oh well, the planes'll get their day one of these years. It will be better having them in a separate till all to themselves anyway - you can fit more in...
    Cheers,

Allow it to steep for at least a month; then decant the liquid.

The shavings make an excellent potpourri for the shed!!!

(The liquid may be imbibed if you have no other suitable method of disposing of it. As a bonus the flavour of the spirit is enhanced by continuous contact with the wood; a bit like putting it back in the barrel).
I guess Bundy Rum could stand some improvement.

In my travels I have collected quite a few wine barrel staves or parts thereof, including a piece of a Bundy Rum barrel.

Whenever I take shavings off of any of these staves the aroma in the shed is fantastic.

One of my favorites is some Jarrah staves that were used in a winery in the Margaret River area for over 100 years. It is very intoxicating.

But back on topic, MA, I have jsut found this thread and am catching up with interest. I have quite a collection of Oregon of my own part of which will become a toolchest, but one on the floor on wheels rather than wall mounted.
I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

Very nice MA, the extra dowel was a clever idea.

Very nice design, MA. I like the dimensional proportion and the overall look, seems to be well balanced.
The half-blind DT drawers looks great.

Thanks Matt, CT, Ian, Doug, Alk and AB. I long ago decided that 13 is my lucky number (I guess that comes from growing up with a black cat)! Lockdown has come in handy (my woodshed is also full of next winters firewood)

Nice looking saw till MA. They become pretty essential when you get more than a few saws kicking around the shed. The dovetailed drawers are a nice touch too.

Thanks Matt and John. Halfway through cutting all those dovetails I was second guessing the wisdom of my choice but I am glad I had a go

Thanks CK. Hope you have still been getting out into your shed, I haven't seen any of your "holz" work for a while.
