The Plane Making Workshop is only 10 days away, I would like to get confirmation on who is actually coming.

Kman-oz is bringing some meats and beers, dai sensei is bringing some bread rolls, I will be bringing desert and soft drinks. We will still need more meat, and salads, and possible picnic plates, cups and cutlery.

Who is planning on actually making a wooden plane on the day?

Skew and I will be there. I'm coming for a poke and prod, won't be making any planes, I might be making noise and shaving on Dj's r/table if I can pull my finger out quick enough. (would that Saturday suit Dj? - I'll discuss further with PMs).

I'll post back with what I can bring when I get a spare moment.

Skew don't know what he'll be up to, I'll leave that for him to answer.
I make things, I just take a long time.

I can bring some tasty snags from the local Butcher. Bottle of Coke, maybe a 6 pack of VB and 4 x 300mm Bessey F clamps if needed.

    VB optional.
I make things, I just take a long time.

My impression is that no one will be building a plane on the day. Is this correct?

I was thinking of a 9:00 am start or shortly there after.

Ian, Stuart and Simon_b just confirmed that they will not be coming to the BBQ.

I'll have a go at doing a traditional 1 Piece plane if I get the time to true up a chunk of Ironwood. Its going to be a bit longer than the HNT Gordon block plane. I'll use the 100x40x4 D2 blade.
I haven't made my floats yet so good old chisel and files for this one.
I hope others are going to have ago too.
I'll bring a few of the others I've made using the brass abutments for others to have a go with.

I'll try to get hold of a decent junk of something tomorrow for another jointer and make some progress on it on Saturday.

9AM start! What bloody time does that mean I have to pick you up? Crikey, I'd better make it an early night tomorrow eh?

So how many am I making burger for?
