    Default Rasp and file rack

With my growing number of home made tools I need to make space in my drawers.
For now ally files and rasps just lived in one of the drawers and were just chucked in.

I wanted to make a rack to put them in reach on my tool wall. But I was not a fan of drilling lots of holes and make them fit to all the different sizes.

I came across this design on YouTube
File and Rasp Storage Rack | French Cleat Hand tool storage system - YouTube

I also still had a lot of pallet wood around and some some aluminium tube and dowels. So I came up with my own variation.

Now they all in reach and I still have space for more. Only need to also do something about the hammers and pliers. That's a but ugly now...

Excellent way to maximise space! I made a rack when my file collection was about 1/4 what it is now. The files are just lined up in a single row & only a day or two ago I was looking at the woefully inadequate number it holds & wondering if there was a better way to utilise the space & fit more in. Clearly, there is, so some rainy afternoon soon, I will be plagiarising that idea. Thanks!

    Cklett.

That is fantastic,I’m in the same boat as Ian,my collection is growing quite a bit for some unknown reason, I think it’s EBay but I’m not sure[emoji3061].

My first rack was a piece of board with lots of holes,an i now hate it.
So I too might rip your idea off before you patent it.
I’m also very glad to see there not smacking each other’s teeth off rattling around in draw[emoji17].

    Cheers Matt.
