Ratcheting adaptor
Hi guys, just wondering if anyone knows what brands make a ratcheting adaptor ?
Basically for sockets, say it'd be 3/8 to 3/8 adaptor with a ratchet action, so you can use other gear like breaker bars, spinners or t handles as a ratchet.
Snap on make them but want close to a hundred for one. Which can get you a socket set or plenty of spanners in other brands.
Anyone seen them around ?

Never had a need for one. I was a mechanic for 13 years, working on cars, trucks, and tractors, and if I needed something that would ratchet, I just used a tool that would ratchet. I never liked to 'stack' tools, prefer to keep things short and simple. That way it takes up less space, has less slop, and is stronger.

I get what you mean but to me it's about flexibility, being able to make up whatever tool I like with what I have. Essentially get by with fewer but good quality tools because they can all do heaps of things. Well that's the plan anyway.
Apparently they're pretty bloody strong. Not that I belive everything I read on the internet.
Hmmm... might have to re-think though. Used might be alright if in good nick but new they still seem to cost an arm, leg and kidney even on ebay, for what they are.
Another similar thing is the adaptors that go into ratchet spanners with the socket adaptors, some of those are shown on that link.
Thanks for taking a look by the way.
May be something to go on the, 'would be nice to have but would never use/need it' list if how often you've never needed one is anything to go by.
