Record 53 vice quick release spring
Hi, I have an older Record 53 vice and the spring on the quick release lever has snapped. Any ideas as to where a new one can be bought or will I have to have one made?

I would contact Irwin tools and get a part off them. I think they manufacture ?Record now.

Hi -
If you get no joy from Irwin, we do have an entire "Trigger Assembly" for the 53E, 53J, 53N record vises... unused. That's the cast iron lever, the spring, toothed engagement nut, and the actuating bar.
Have absolutely no idea what it's worth.... but you can have it for USD $10, plus the cost of postage....
