    Default record bullnose

    Hi all,
I've just had this little fella fall into my hands for what I think was a good price, its a record but not sure which model. It hasn't got any marks on the outside apart from "record" on the lever. just wondering if anyone knows what it is (I know its a bullnose rebate)but what number and how old is it?
its got a stamp inside under the lever that says 10 and under the blade on the body has 218 or 812 depending which way you want to read it....
    cheers
    Matt

Might be an incomplete (missing a section of the body) #311.

I knew there was another Record shoulder plane with a removable front.

Question for the experts, how do we know that it's one and not the other?

just looked up the 77a , looks like the one, some have engraved numbers etc on the sides, but mine is blank. does this mean that its a recent or older model?
if it was the multi part rebate I hope I dedn't leave the other half in the dusty shed it came from......
    any record experts out there????????
    cheers
    Matt
