New Chisel Box.
Recently finished this Chisel Box for a set of W.Marples Firmer Chisels. 1/4 - 1 1/2 inch.
Box is made from aust. cedar, with rough sawn pine used for the top and bottom pieces.
I didn't want to have the box and fittings looking new, so I used rust oxide & copper sulfate to give a darkened & aged patina . Come up fairly well.
Had some spare room in the box to fit a leather honing block. Steel side plate is hinged so chisels can be flat honed.

Firmer Chisels were flat ground to 20 deg. main bevel & 25 deg. micro bevel.
Sharp as a razor.

Love your work......what I could see of it......not so keen on photobucket. For some reason it wouldn't let me see the full size pics.
We don't know how lucky we are......
