Yeah I was a bit surprised when I saw all that machinery as well I was always under the impression that he's a hand tool only guy.

Rob makes furniture for a living, among other things. There is no way
he could keep up production without the speed of power tools. Hand tools are great,
but slow.

The only power tool that speeds things up is a thickness planer and tablesaw other than that not much else still you have to go over it with a hand plane. I'm selling up my machinery bit by bit since I use mostly hand tools I don't see the point in keeping them but if I did grow to the point I need to do production work I would employ people over machinery. No machinery can give me precison and quality like my hands can. That's just me though others think differently and work differently whatever rocks their boat is ok with me.

Of course, I would prefer to have my own than imports but I haven't gotten to that stage yet this is all still in the wind a fantasy, a life long dream. Hopefully to set an example for others to follow suit, our economy needs it our unemployed needs it more and I won't look at age either we all need to eat.
