    Those are useful. The octopod bench gives me confidence in its stability.
    I built something like the low bench from 4x4 western red cedar post. 12" x 48" bench.
    2 4x4 legs canted forward 15 degrees at one end. Two legs canted outward 15 degrees at the other end.
    Height = 28" as I wanted to sit down and be able to work in a downwards manner on wood carvings.
