Smile Roy Underhill "The Woodright's Shop" episodes on Youtube

    Hi All,

For anyone interested, I've just found that full episodes of The Woodright's Shop are up on Youtube.
The youtube channel is here The Woodwright's Shop - YouTube and is regularly publishing 3 or 4 episodes per day.

Not sure if it's official in anyway, but the eps are coming through in high quality (720p) and i've enjoyed just having them on the background.

    Enjoy!

It's almost certainly posted by whoever owns the content (whether that's a production company or the NC PBS station here).

Interesting that the channel has been around for more than a year but the episodes are only a couple of months long in terms of posting date. That could just be because they add and remove episodes.

NC PBS does post episodes on their website, too.

I saw this show so much as a kid that I couldn't tell you what they are (I had my fill back then. Before the days of the internet, shows like this were like candy to a kid - you rarely see anything like it unless the odd display booth here or there would be working at a craft show - and in that case back then, before the internet made getting students more profitable than making things, there were folks who did make things by hand professionally and travel the craft show circuit in PA, including blacksmiths and chair makers, etc - their gimmick at a show (gimmick is not a negative term, by the way) was pretty useful - they could bring a shave horse and stock or metal stock, a forge and an anvil and work when customer interest wasn't immediate). Same with decoy carvers, etc, and jewelry makers - you didn't have to guess if the person doing the selling was actually making the stuff, or if they were importing it from peru or something and just marking it up.
