Sargent No 5206 low-angle block plane Worth having?
Is this worth having in comparison to other options.
Its a Sargent No 5206 low-angle block plane. Cutter marked Sargent No 5206, New Haven CT USA. Sargent's answer to the "boy-proof" Stanley No 118."All that is necessary for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing"

I have this low angle blockie, and I love it.
It fits in my pocket or usually the front of my nail bag.
It is robust, virtually indestructable and has an excellent steel blade which holds an edge very well.
Ergonomics are good, but for my big hands I wish that the little front finger knob was on the toe rather than the lever-cap. I know it doesn't have a "lever" cap but you'll know what mean.
A great plane.
