Yes but probably for a large crosscut (milling), circular saw or large bandsaw. The squeeze type similar to this are more suitable for handsaws.

Very little work on the saws as have been doing a lot of reading. I'm about a year behind in reading that Lumberjocks thread mentioned earlier. A lot of useful information about all things saw
I managed to find Dad's sawset
sawset_3641.jpg
Needs a bit of a clean and polish
The screw is a bit bent which is fixable
Luckily someone has posted one on ebay along with a photo of the box showing the instructions
No luck on the battery charger - must have put it somewhere sensible
I've also found a purveyor of gun blueing solution which is said by some to enhance etchings
I'll pick up a bottle during the week and try it out on saw no 4 which seems to have a hint of an etchregards

I have a rusty sawblade ... just sawblade ... I've cleaned up and used the BDS on three times with little result ... and some pics to put up relating to your sawblade inside the grip void ... but the 'net is quite umpity for me today. All over the place.
Cheers,
Paul

You obviously haven't given the right sacrifices to the interweb gods
On the etches it seems to me that the blueing and the brass aging stuff (which I should also receive later this week) will only work if there is still some etch there.
On saw no 4 there is something but I'm not overly hopeful that the blueing or the brassing will make it easier to see. I'm willing to give it a shot though.regards

Try rubbing the etch with alum foil and Autosol. This combination does not cut the steel plate, but there is a chemical reaction that produces a black slurry that fills in the etch and makes it easier to read.
