Default Seller says these saws'll scrub up well

Marketplace – Old Disston / Spear and Jackson Saws | Facebook

I'm surprised they're not charging more for the rust

So do people just leave their saws out in the back yard for 10 years or what!!

I picked up a couple from a work colleague’s gran. Grandad had passed many years ago and they were simply tucked into the stud and lining board of the garage. As used and stored for their whole life I would assume. They did clean up nice also.
    cheers

They certainly don't look very promising - I can't tell from a pic, that rust might be superficial, but I rather suspect they are deeply pitted. A pitted saw can still work ok, even though it looks pretty crap, but you've got busted handles to contend with, as well as a lot of work cleaning them up! If I saw these at a flea market, I would probably cough up the (current) asking price, as long as the saw bolts are in reasonable condition - it's always useful to have a few of those spare...
