Shooting Boards
Bought Some excellent H.T.Gordon Planes, but couldn't afford the range of shooting boards
Any suggestions on how to make your own out of hard wood and info on the large 6-8ft boards what thickness do you make them up to be??
Also thanks to all who replied to my earlier posts.

Try "Making and Mastering Wood Planes" by David Finck. EXCELLENT book with heaps of info on wood planes, their use and various shooting boards.
If you like HNT Gordon wooden planes you'll like this book.
