Shoulder Planes
The current issue of Fine Woodwork arrived last night. In this issue they have a tool review on shoulder planes. They had planes from a lot of different manufacturers, some I'd never heard of.
There were certainly some very nice looking tools.
The reviewer gave his pick to the Veritas. The H.N.T Gordon was also very favourably reviewed which was good to see.
Interestingly, the price quoted in the mag for the Gordon was the same as we pay, only in U.S. dollars, so it was nice to see the equation favor us for a change.
Anybody thinking of buying a shoulder plane should try and get hold of the mag. It will probably be in the newsagents in a month or so.

Hopefully it will be in my mailbox today!
Veritas seem to be getting the pick of the bunch in just about every review I've read lately. Maybe we should have an FTA with Canada instead"I don't practice what I preach because I'm not the kind of person I'm preaching to."
