Fixed the broken Broom
This broom had a broken thin metal pipe for a stick. I decided to screw it to a shaped stick so I could use it as a brush for sweeping down table tops mainly .
I just happened to be shaving up a big top today so it was given a good try out . Its pretty good .
Maybe a touch heavy with the Oak handle . Ill try an Oregan handle on the next broken broom thats sitting in my shelves waiting. Just to compare.
It looks a bit like a giant tooth brush. I use brooms on tops for the normal dust and shavings but also use them as big brushes for spreading out liquids like water based stain on the underneath sometimes . They speed things up.
I cant stand fluffing around with a small brush if Im not spraying that sort of thing on.

Here it is shown in a language we all understand, between a no 3 and a no 8 so you guys can get an idea of the scale

The wood is from the same English Oak the top is made from . Thought Id use a bit out of the off cuts from the slabs that were used before I turn them into something else.

Good one, Vann - caught 'im out on that little slip, though if it were me I'd argue I was just using the '8' generically....
Rob, I won't be able to look at the puny thing I use in my shed from now on without thinking, "that's not a brush!"
Cheers,IW

Yeah, maybe he was being modest. But if you've got a 608 you have a right to gloat.

Didn’t even think about the 60 at the time . That’s my New Yorker . Came from New York USA off eBay . I sing what I remember of the Frank Sinatra song when it comes out to play sometimes
