Paul,
looking at my combined medal & disk closely...the hole in the disk is smaller than the raised locating ring under the medal. Not a matched set.
Looking at the "style" of the disk, possibly a connection between the Tyzak and S&J.Again, more questions than answers???
Craig,
looks like a strike-out with the disk.
I still can send the nuts though.
Regards,
Peter
OH,
PS
saw these in a junk shop yesterday...shiny and still pretty sharp, at $6 & $8...I don't know much about saws...are they cheap, Paul?

You're killing me, Peter.
Bloody eastern states.
No, I hope they go to a good home. Looks like a Disston and a WS (just guessing from the blank medallion centre).
See the teeth on the Disston ... maybe it is just the photo but it looks like those teeth have been set from the base of the tooth, not nearer the tip.
I see that pretty often.
I wonder if it was hammer-setting by 'amateurs' ... or maybe machine-setting ... or done for a purpose.
Cheers,
Paul

Was looking for something else....and look what turned up, drawn to our attention by our own TobyC in a previous topic.
It looks like there is a connection between Tyzack and S&J. It looks like Tyzack joined S&J in 1962.
Somewhere in a box in a cupboard I have some S&J cataloges, and saw information from about that time.
Time to make some new bookshelves
Regards,
Peter
