the best possible way to spend $3000
they say somebody paid $3000odd us for one in the past.. my guess is the poor bugger had a fit while trying to key in $30 and face planted the 0 key.

Nope.
One sold on the 7th September for about $1500 It wasn't in as good condition, but the seller started bids at 9.99 and the auction ran it's course. Bet he's happy.
Starting an auction with a high minimum bid scares away the buyers who would pay more than that for it, but don't think they would... If that's all of the buyers, then no-one will bid.
If a collector really wants it, maybe it will sell. Have to wait and see.
