Split Nuts Round 2 - EOI
I missed out on round one of the split nuts and just seeing if there is enough interest for a second round of split nuts from Mike W.
I'm happy to organise it all if need be.
Split nuts anyone?

I will be interested in a few more if it can be arranged but I suspect it might be a better option to go with Ray's blessing as I feel he has built up a special relationship with Mike and we may have got a one off deal.

ps
If we can not get them I will ask Ray or even IanW or other experienced saw makers to give us some tips about making our own brass saw nuts similar to the Poor Boy saw nuts we see.

Not my intentions to impose on Rays work at all but at the same time I don't want to propose something that I wouldn't follow through with myself either.
If we get the numbers I'm happy to use whatever channels we have available to us on the forums or otherwise.

Hi Bitslong,
No you are not imposing at all. I think the more options the better. Mike Wenzloff is great to deal with, and has been very generous in his support of the forums group buy's. Both the saw plate and the split nuts. You couldn't ask for better.
You could always order individually from Mike, but the problem is you will get slugged by the postage costs from the USA, as a group purchase we can get the postage cost per unit down to a more realistic value. I think it makes good sense.
At the moment the $A exchange rate is much better than when we did the last split nut group purchase.
Regards
Ray

I am in as well. I need more nuts to go with my slit brass.
*EDIT* I will need about 24 split nuts.
A few blokes in my course, are interested in making their own saws. So at least half is for them.

My second home-made saw used Nyloc nuts and steel bolts to attach the handle. Effective but somewhat ugly. I'd like to make a slightly nicer one next time. I'd be up for a few saw nuts.

Yep. Me too.
Not sure yet how many, maybe 6-8 of each size.
Cheers

Numbers
Ok guys,
pending a response from Mike W, we will hopefully be going ahead with the order.
If we get the same offer as last time we should be able to get them landed for AU$5 each plus AU$5 per order for our local postage.
So far this is the summary of those who have replied:
Old gunny - 6 x 1/2", 6 x 9/16", 6x 7/16"
RayG - 10 x 1/2"
STAR - ?
Sam - ?
Claw Hama - 12 x?
Groggy - ?
Thumbsucker - 24 X?
Dion N - ?
kevjed - ?
I've made a new thread (indicating an order vs EOI)
Could you clarify your order commitments if needed in the new thread:
