stanley 78 advice
Quick question. Stanley 78. Bevel up or down and ideal angle please? I inherited one and it is currently 35 degrees snd bevel up but I think that this could be wrong? Also posted in general for a quick response

Yep. Found grooves on bottom eventually. Now installed bevel down 35 and have cut some lovely rabbets in the chest of drawers I am making. See Big stuff section.
