Stanley to cut narrow dados ? 3/4"
If a straight edge is clamped and lined up with the flat spurr side then secured with the lever cap.....Can a custom O1 steel blade be ground and tempered to cut narrow 3/4" dados with the stanley 192 ? The plade angle is much higher than my 1" wide shoulder plane yet it cuts with the grain on a boards edge well. Is this idea or project conversion a waste of time and money or should I just mortice a 1/4 or 3/8 hole for a 3/4" wide wooden plane having never done that ? It just looks or seem difficult with wood only 3/4" thick that might split wide open.
