Stanley England #3 Lever cap
I recently picked up a very beaten up English Stanley #3 plane from a garage sale. It is probably from the pre-/post- WWII era (it isn't a wartime tool, I think).
One problem is that it had the wrong lever cap on it (someone in the past had butchered a 2" lever cap from a #4 or #5).
Anyone got a spare? PM me if you do and we can arrange price or swap for other parts for all sorts of Stanley/Record planes (bench and specialty).Cheers

3 lever cap
There will be sellers with spare parts at the Sydney Tool Sale and Swap on Sunday.
28 Pomeroy St Strathfield South. 9am to 1pm.
You'd have to be very unlucky to not pick up a lever cap.

Unfortunately, I will be a chauffeur for the son's AFL during the tool sale! (Also SWMBO would have my nuts for worry beads if I went)
Cheers

Jeremy, if you have no luck I have a repaired one you can have.
It was broken across the middle and has been brazed.
It is a good repair and works well - just doesn't look too cosmetically pretty.
Let me know if you want it.
Cheers
