    Hey TS,

Am I too late to add to the order? If I am, then that's cool but if I'm not too late can you please put me down for the following?

    1 x 2 3/8" blade (with bevel) + cap iron
    1 x 2" blade (with bevel) + cap iron.

    Thanks very much.

    Hi Helmut,

If I'm not too late I'd like to jump aboard this order.
I picked up two blades in the 1st round and they are just fantastic.

    Please put me down for:

1 x 2" blade bevelled with cap iron
    1 x 1 3/4" blade bevelled with cap iron.
    1 x 60 1/2 block plane blade - if its the new style 3 slots 1 3/8".

    Thanks,
    Geoff

    G'Day

I like the sound of this. Would it be possible to put me down for:

2 x 2 3/8 blades with bevel, screw and cap iron
1 x 60 1/2 block plane blade (I'm assuminging of the older style as the current blade is 1 5/8 wide and has 11 grooves milled in it)?

I may need to add to this once I work out what's going on in my shed.

    Many thanks

Horaldic I have added you to the list.

Regarding the block plane blade, would you be so kind to measure up your blade and post it back in the thread.

If anyone else has a #60 1/2 blade, could you do the same. We have never made one of these and we need a template for the blade.

    G'Day TS

I believe my block plane is of 1930's vintage. If I had the correct applications I'd provide a diagram, however, a description will have to do. These dimensions are measured using my Mitutoyo dial caliper

    Overall length 4 1/2"
    Width 1 5/8"
    Thickness 0.07" (uniform 2mm)
A slot of length 1.35" and width 0.445" with radiused ends cut through the blade.
This begins 1.82" from the top.

There are 11 machined cuts into back of blade (obviously cut with a circular cutter),
Cuts extend at their deepest point to half the depth of the blade.
Cuts begin 1/2" from the top of the blade and the last cut is actually split in half by the beginnings of the through slot on the blade.
Length of cuts is on average 1/2"
    Width of cuts is 0.08"
    Gap between cuts 0.05".

I hope that describes the blade sufficiently? If there are further measurements needed I'm more than happy to provide them.

    Many thanks

    Horaldic

    Hi TS,

If the order is still open I'd like a 2" blade bevelled with cap iron, suitable for an English Stanley #4.

Let me know if that's not enough info - I'm still rediscovering the world of hand tools.

    Thanks,
    Brett.
