    Default Stanley RB10 Hand plane

Good morning folks, I was wondering if any one had a Stanley RB10 hand plane as I am finding it very difficult to buy replacement blades for it.
I have spoken to Stanley Aust about this and they say that the blades are now discontinued, which does not make any sense as the plane and the blades are still available in England. Funny considering that Stanley Aust say that they are discontinued.
Now I suppose there are a few of you thinking what the hell is this guy going on about and rightly so. The fact of the matter is that we are constantly reminded today to recycle as much as we can. Regarding the replacement blades not being available in Australia any more then that would mean that any one in Australia now has a hand plane which you can not buy replacement blades for is not able to be used any more; therefore it can only end up in the rubbish bin.
I don't know about any one else but I believe that this would have to be a ridiculous waste of the resources used in designing, packaging, marketing and the sale of this item.
How many other items that we use in our workshops where we are not able to get parts for or make the parts needed to be able to use again that we will have to throw in the bin ?
    Cheers Alby
