Adrian, whiile I will saw a mitre block on a table saw, and set the blade angle as accurately as I can (with a digital finder), the result is checked with a protractor. Adjust if needed.

My donkeys ear has adjustable feet for tuning in the angles. Here is a long one for cases ...
