HERE is an original 78, still with it's nicker, depth stop, fence AND IT'S NOSE! It's the same era; that blade logo was made in 1910 before changing to the "V" logo a year later. Bidding to kick off at a fair starting price of $10.

I'm going to put this one on my watch list as well to see what it ends up going for; my guess is between $75-$100. Which if I'm right means there is no justice or honour left in this world.
The truncated 78 on Ebay was fiercely fought over by two bidders and sold for $210. The 1910-ish complete 78 listed in my link attracted only 10 bids and ended up going for only 53 dollars and seventy cents.

I don't believe it; another "modified" 78 has hit ebay. THIS ONE is a Record; has essentially no blade left and has a starting bid price of $125.

If this one sells I may have to fire up the angle grinder and flood the market until sanity is dragged back, kicking and screaming.

Something amiss with your link, Chief - all I see is some fella called "Stumpy Nubs" flogging router-lift plans. Have you become a secret scammer??

    Cheers,
Well that was weird; that hyperlink was what I added to a completely different post a couple of days earlier.

I have fixed up my original post and added it again here. And this is the offending article:

No bids though. The other bloke bidding on the first one has either come to his sensors or made his own...
