    Default Super Works Gold (SWG)

I recently picked up SWG spanners from 8 to 30mm along with a 1/2" socket rail, I've been told its Stanley/Sidchrome stuff and so far it seems good. The only difference between Sidchrome spanners is the anti slip groove they have.

Would love to hear how people are going using them professionally, I'm a apprentice plant mechanic so I will know soon enough if they are any good.

I don't use mine professionally but I bought the SWG socket sets after reading positive info on other forums from mechanics who use them. As you would be aware, SWG are rather special and cannot be compared to cheap brands in terms of quality, even though their price is remarkable. The thing that sold me was a recommendation from a mechanic in Queensland who had tools forming rust spots due to the extreme humidity of his particular location. he said that the SWG were more heavily chromed than any other of the big name brands and so far had not discoloured in any way. other mechanics had also reported replacing the odd lost tool with SWG and being pleasantly surprised.

in my own experience using these tools quite a bit (between myself and 2 sons), they certainly seem as strong as other high quality brands I have owned. Like the Queensland mechanic said, they are heavily chromed and after 12 months or so use still look perfect.

I was initially concerned about whether the SWG sockets would be as perfect a fit as say some original Aussie Sidchromes I have had, and if there is a difference I haven't noticed it. The prices for the individual replacements are pretty cheap considering the quality and I will be replacing a couple of lost ring spanners with SWG

Looks like they have now dropped the SWG range

Perhaps Supercheap weren't selling enough. That's a real shame because it is not that often you can get great quality tools with a lifetime guarantee for so little outlay.
