Had a busy week. Now it's relaxation time. Looking forward to Sunday and bringing my dad along too. He's 82 so it'll take him back to his apprenticeship days.

Dropped in for an hour this morning. More tables than ever.
Picked up a few odds and ends: a few specialty files, a saw and couple of hammers.
Also grabbed a copy of Doggies new book on Titan chisels.
It was great to have a chat with Dick but I forgot to get him to sign it!

Again this group/members have put on a top morning sale.
Thank Henry for his special invite and his assistance in pointing me to the right people to discuss some wooden plane blades with sadly none of them had ones I required.
Thanks Peter/Heavnesabove also you are looking good glad you are still able to be there just keep improving.
To Paul/Pacman thanks for the books I know you had no idea I was after them still there they were some hours of reading for me.
Members of forum wandering around some aimlessly some determined to find that item/bargain Fletty ( who spent more than he planned), NCArcher, Twisted Tenon a new face to me, Woolybugger, Christos, sorry if I have missed any and sorry if I seemed rude and ignore you I had my sights firmly set to locate some items. Oh AndrewOC who was also manning a stall.
I scored 3 engineering books, a knock of Mitutogo Dial indicator, a Stanley 202 blade from Henry for the block plane I scored yesterday at another sale. I even bought Sue something no the first time this was a brass scales set.

I had a great morning too. Met and remet a few of the Formites and had a bit of chat. Did Ok on tools (both "in" and "out" of the ledger) but very happy with the book sales. Thanks to all the guys who bought one I really appreiate it. It's very encouraging and I hope to eventually get some feedback from them. Big drive up from the farm (Mansfield) but a big day too so I'll do it again next year. I guess I'm not Robinson Crusoe with this as a few of the Sydney guys do the reverse direction for the HTPAA sales. Hell of a show TTTG's. Truly a tool heaven on earth.
I'll sign Hirollers book next year!!

Detail on that late Stanley Ray.
I dug out that plane we spoke about Ray and mine is the narrower 60 1/2 version with an adjustable mouth. It also has a small brass lever to lock the cap iron, which I notice from your photo your's has also.
I picked up a wee vernier last thing which made my day.

Lined up at 8:40 and the line went the length of the building Spent a couple of hours and good to meet some forum members - Fletty, Pittwater Pete and Dirk - sorry if I forgot anyone.
Picked up the two planes I was after - a complete Stanley Router plane with all cutters and fence and a nice Stanley Rebate plane complete.
Glad I got there early and had the first pick - some of the plane prices, even for incomplete units was, to say the least, unbelievable.
Great day was had - well organised TTTG . Penned next year in my diary

Couldn't agree more. I only went to "have a look 'round" ..... but bought my first treasure within 10 paces of walking in!
My haul this year was a Stanley 5 WITH A HOLTEY BLADE , an oil can, 5 drills for the sharpening GTG on March 13 ($5!) and a stillson wrench but not just a generic stillson wrench ....a STILLSON wrench....

It was was great to meet old and new faces too,
