The link isn't working. Is this what you intended? (Except it doesn't show the forging process and I couldn't find a sequel)

    Hmmmm.

Piece of 3/8th square bar $1
    Old fashioned forge $400
Small shed to house aforementioned forge $3000

    I think it's a goer

Well, speaking as a cynical former salesperson....I'd say they have a big expensive CNC facility, currently running under-capacity due to reduced demand for their core products (if nothing else because everyone has already bought the stuff they need). Combine this with their huge stockpile of Aircraft Grade Unobtainium (or whatever this red stuff is made of), and I suspect you have your answer.

This might explain why they are coming up with more and more ridiculous items. The only real theme is that it must be precision CNC machined from solid, and anodised red. Personally, I'm waiting for the Woodpeckers clothing line....

Paul, all US prices are quoted BEFORE sales tax is added, absolutely maddening when you are there. The Aus price INCLUDES 10% GST. Adjusting for GST, the price in NY is a buck lower (at $ parity).

Of course when importing, you do not pay the State US sales tax (NY 8.875%), or VAT when buying from Europe (note prices are quoted VAT inclusive, so cheaper for export)- which is 25% in Sweden, 20% in UK.

    Cheers
    Peter

BobL - if you can organise some red anodising, I think you're onto a winner. I have no doubt that your design could be adapted so that all parts could be machined from solid billets at huge expense...

All you really need is a sapling, a few nails, a bit of string and common sense. Cheapest and quickest option of them all.

yeah but in this country both would lean slightly to the right, except the green one that would go all over the place.
