    Default Big Thanks to toolsfromjapan.com

I recently did an online order through http://www.toolsfromjapan.com and have nothing but good things to say about Stu's business.

Stu freely shares his wealth of knowledge and bridges the gap very well between the Japanese retail market and us non-Japanese speakers.
His blog is a resource of great value, and I've emailed him questions and gotten great answers.

He kept me informed of his inability to meet his targeted delivery time as the factory had run out of one of the ceramic stones I'd ordered.... communication was excellent and there was no BS... just plain speaking and apologies.

Package arrived safetly and well packed.

I'd recommend you take a look at his site if you haven't already, and his standard of service is quite high.
    Thanks Stu

So, I now have a 300/1000 Iwood combo diamond stone, a Sigma Select II 1200 and I had a 100mm fine cut file thrown in to see how that works.... I'm looking forward to seeing how the Sigma Select II 1200 works as my experiences with Sigma stones has been very positive.

... with my other stones I now have a 'collection' of too many, but that is what happens when you buy slowly over time and prices change and whatnot.

I worked it out today, in waterstones alone I have a Sigma 120, King 300, Sigma 700 & 1200, King 6000 - and there is the diamond 300/1000 to slot in there as well ...
... if I was doing it again from scratch, I'd go the IWood diamond combo plates for 150/800, the 300/1000, then the Sigma Select II 1200, 3000 and 6000.
Sticking to one brand is a good idea as different companies and different manufacturing techniques produce stones that cut and 'feel' different, whereas that is minimised when you stick to one brand.

Live and learn.... but I've certainly learnt that toolsfromjapan.com are to deal with.
    Cheers,
    Clinton
