nick_b00 - I have added your 60 x 6 x 200 mm blade.
As the chisel order is now being wrapped up and people should be getting their chisels in the post by the end of next week.
We will be starting the production of the Plane Blades. So if you want to join in the order, this will be your last chance to do so over the following week.
Many people have been far to patient and I want to get this ball rolling asap.

The plane blades for wooden hand planes are the next batch order that I need to put my attention to. It has been sitting neglected to long due to the delays caused by the chisel order.
The first thing is the ends of the plane blade. I know that these blades are meant to be struck so the shape needs to aware of this. Their has been some discussion on this, so I have made four options. I will send everyone taking part with the order a PM so they can to make a choice, the most popular choice is what we will go with.
Here are the options:

Here is also list of what people are down for:

Hi TS
Onya for tackling this so soon after the chisels order! My first choice would be option 1, though would be happy with any of the shapes proposed.
Cheers

G'day Helmut, 'was wandering when this would start up again. Chisels done then?
I vote for option 4, though I think the tombstone will be just as practical if you want to keep with your recent tradition.
Also, I've decided that I really don't use the 60mm blades I already have. Would you mind cancelling the 60x6x150mm and putting me down for three 50x6x150mm instead please?
Thanks Helmut."Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."

For their choices, at this point 1 OR 4 is the most popular.
Kman - I have changed your order.
BasilG - I will post back tonight about the shoulder plane blade. Would you be happy with the same shape as the academy saw shoulder plane blades with only the primary cutting bevel without the side bevels of a traditional blade?

Helmut
If possible I would prefer to have the sides ground, especially if the cost is only the $5 I think was quoted for the grinding of the other blades. However, I would like to avoid being a pain in the fundamental, & if I have to do some of the work myself I will do so.
I can't find any info on the web re the shape of the Academy Saw blade, are there other differences or is it only the side bevels ?
Regards

BasilG - it would probably add $10 to the blade, it will not bother me just the grinder. Yes the only difference between a HNT and a traditional is the side bevels.
