Lorenzo -I'd test it with a file. There is a fair chance the metal is soft enough to file. Judging from the picture with the scale on it, the teeth are quite wide, so I'd try a 50mm extra-slim file. You will need to file carefully and follow the contour as you go, but it should be possible to produce a clean set of sharp teeth pretty easily.
Not sure the reversing teeth will be an advantage in what you want to use it for. I'd be looking hard at it to see if I could re-cut one set & make them all work in the one direction.
