    Default An unusual hand tool....

This is a rather tedious video, but it's worth a skip through to see what you miss out on by having 'lectrickery.

I'd not seen anything like it before - Boring Geoff, your life will remain incomplete 'til you have one!

Aw c'mon, Geoff, don't be so narrow-minded - it's just another gadget wot whizzes a bit around, isn't it? You gotta broaden your horizons, or it'll get too, well, ........ boring....

I used to have a similar one, not Rawplug branded though. It sounded like a machine gun once you got it going.

They gave these to apprentices so the tradesman did not have to use it?

Never used one for work. I don't remember where i got it from and I have no idea where it is now. Probably best left that way

It's a slippery slope, I got a couple of brace style automotive valve lapping tools then I got one with a side handle similar to a hand drill. You can guess the rest... I've now got about eight of them.
I think Ramset made hammer drills too?

    Geoff.

Now that you mention it, I'm pretty sure mine was a Ramset
