Default Using a Wooden Plough (Plow) Plane

I am working on a little cabinet at the moment, and the bulk of the work is with hand tools.
Yesterday I put together a simple presentation on using an old wooden plough plane for my blog. If you are interested, you might want to go cop an optic on it.
    Here is a sample:
    Cheers to all

Another excellent post. I have had a look at some very nice Plough Planes and had wondered exactly how they were used.
    Thank you for sharing!
    Cheers,

Hi SG. I had a look at your blog and note that you used a wooden plough because your Record 043 cutters only go up to 1/4" and you needed a 5/16" groove. Record sold 'additional cutters" for the 043 in metric sizes of 4mm,, 6mm, 9mm & 12mm. So I assume it would work with a 5/16" cutter from an 044, 50/050 or 45/405 combi-plane.

Still, nice to see the old woodie earning its keep.

    Cheers, Vann.

    Thanks John.
My Record 043 cutters stop at 1/4 inch and I had a full set of cutters for the wooden plough, so it seemed only natural to use them.
Also for the width and depth of this groove, the wooden handled plough plane is much more comfortable to use - It gives me a buzz to use it anytime, so this was a good excuse really.
Thanks for the info on those other cutters.
    Kindest regards
