A question about plane blade bevel angles
I have recently purchased spare blades for my low angle block plane and my low angle jack plane so that I can grind/hone them to a higher bevel angle than the standard 25 degrees and so get the benefits of a higher cutting angle. I was wondering whether I have to grind the entire bevel of each blade to a higher angle or is it OK to leave the main bevel at 25 degrees and just use a micro bevel to achieve the higher angle? I would have thought that just having the micro bevel at the higher angle would be sufficient but thought I would ask those of you who know a lot more about these things than me.
Regards,
Ian.

Thanks Dan. I didn't find that thread when I went looking for an answer.
