weekly times farmers handbook
Im looking for an article from weekly times farmers handbook.
It was about building a manually operated machine that wires sticks together like the brush/reed fence panels from bunnies etc.
As there were various editions I don't want to buy an edition of the book that doesn't have this tool in it.

Thanks Noel,
Just a vague feeling I saw it in the 1978 edition which was compiled from earlier editions

Bob, could also be in those "Bushman's" books at the library, about 10 books in the series from memory.
The beatings will continue until morale improves.

Bob
Here are some bookshops that hold it - you could call or e-mail them and see if the copy they hold has the article.
Alternatively, why not ring HWT and see if they have a collection that you could look at. Or the State Library or a local library might have a copy.
Cheers

Thanks all,
Unfortunaley I don't remember the name of the article so it might not be easy to find in the index (I vaguely seem to recall it was hard to locate within the index) and I don't want to buy a heap of books so its the library system.
I'll do an inter library search and see what I can find.

Some google Fu came up with this https://permies.com/t/69846/fence which might be what your thinking of and the term "reed fence knitting machine" which you can buy from China but I think that would be only if you wanted to start a factory making it

12 year old thread - some would expect that the original poster figured it out quicker than this
