    Sorry Ian and Mirboo.
I never cease to read wondrous things about Mike Wenzloff's Saws.
I reckon that a carcass saw of his would be great. So this is on my Xmouse wish list. I wonder if SWMBO has picked up on the two or three hundred hints I have left around over the last few months?
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Ian.
    Regards

I have been planing this for months. Mike has been so frantic it took months to get organized exchanging emails.

I have opted for a Figured Walnut because I like the look of it, and because it is the most sustainable of the times listed. An added bonus that I discovered later was that a heavy wood is not good for a hand saw as it shifts to much weight to the rear of the blade. Mike told me that Walnut is his timber of choice for his most used saws in the shop. So I think it is a good choice.

Mike says my saw is ready, SWMBO is paying for half and as soon as the fund clear hopefully by the end of this week, Mike can post it. So I am hoping to get my saw right on Xmas or near enough.

    I will post a gloat

Well, my dearly beloved is giving me a Festertool ETS150/3 eccentric sander. It will match it's insane owner.

OK thanks for the laugh Gra.

Seriously, I don’t think Santa will deliver this year. But I have set myself a deadline. I will find a way own one in the next 24 months. I will do whatever it takes to archive this goal. That includes intensive daily prayer, fasting up to 5 times a week, selling blood or worst comes to worst I will rob a bank.

    Will keep you updated.
